JCFD-BFD outside iMTT Bayonne New Jersey Marine Firefighter Training TMSA is well underway with New Jersey's training program for Marine Firefighter.  TMSA has teamed up with R4 (one of New Jersey's approved training vendors) to provide TMSA's DHS approved Marine Firefighter 1 and 2 training to departments in Northern New Jersey.  Departments from Bayonne, Jersey City, Newark and Elizabeth have nearly completed the initial phase of training 240 firefighters in the Marine Firefighter 1 program.  Training has been provided under a port security grant obtained through the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness. This program is part of a larger project to provide maritime training for regional first responders including law enforement, fire, ems and emergency management at the awareness, operations and technician level specialties. Chief Al Huelsenbeck Instructing Rhode Island Fire Departments Receive Marine Firefighter Training TMSA has completed the initial phase of the Harbor Incident Response Training Courses (HIRT) for four fire departments in Rhode Island.  Providence, East Providence, Cranston, and Warwick Fire Departments. The departments have completed an aggressive training program to train nearly 600 firefighters over the last eighteen months.  Upon completion, these four departments have their entire first due companies trained in the competencies of Marine Firefighter 1 under NFPA's 1005 standard.  In addition, several firefighters attended this year's Marine Firefighting Symposium in Virginia!
